Notes

Traveling ‘overland’ is an adventurous and exciting way to see the sights, meet the cultures, and feel the soul and rhythm of Africa. In a self-sufficient vehicle, we carry everything with us including camping and cooking equipment and get off the beaten track to the real Africa. Travel with like-minded people in a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere and make life-long friends. Add this to special wildlife encounters, evocative landscapes, thrilling adventure activities, and nights camping out in the African bush, and you’ll have a memorable overland tour through Africa with Acacia.

Acacia's pricing system includes a Local payment segment. The local payment is used to pay for food and camping costs, as well as major attractions and activities, such as game parks or river cruises.

We design the prices this way to ensure that you receive the local price at the time you travel. Any local payment funds not used up by the end of the tour are refunded to you so you can be sure of receiving the absolute best value for money.

We recognise that customers prefer choice so we have created a Local Payment system that works in three parts, they are as follows:

Basic Local Payment plan.

This covers food & camping costs and at least one visit to a major game park per tour. Your Basic Local Payment also is paid at the pre -departure meeting (held the night before your tour starts) and must be paid in US$ cash.

FLEXIBLE LOCAL PAYMENT

You can choose to add to your basic local payment and see some or all of the other highlights and pay for them along the way. Additional excursions this can be decided a couple of days prior to the excursion when the tour leader will require payment.

TOTAL INCLUSIVE LOCAL PAYMENT

If you decide you want to do all of the additional excursions then you pay the Total Inclusive Local Payment. This covers all parks, ferries and activities as indicated on each of our tours.

Visas

At the time of booking we will advise you of any visas or other documentation that will be required prior to your arrival.

Costs relating to the issue of visas or related documentation are the responsibility of the traveler.
